Fused and satin-stitch appliquéd fuchsias hang from a rich background of hand painted fabric that gives the illusion of a lush tropical forest. Random leaves in various greens are raw edge appliquéd to give depth. Flowers are embellished with free motion stitching creating realism with the stems and stamens. Pieced borders are of hand dyed and batik fabrics are free motion quilted with leaf shapes. Backing is hand dyed. Machine appliquéd, pieced and quilted.
