Flowers and grasses grow in profusion on the hand painted cotton background. Rayon flowers are appliquéd atop raw edge appliquéd stems and leaves of silk, cotton and linen. Some petals are three-dimensional as are the centers of hand stitched rayon thread. The grasses of variegated threads are free motion stitched. Machine appliquéd and quilted.
