The hand-painted back ground features sun imprinted maple leaves. Atop this brightly colored base are more leaf silhouettes created with oil paintsticks. Random circles of green and touches of red direct the eye to the red leaf. Quilting with simple parallel lines allows the leaves to jump from the surface. Machine appliqued and quilted.
